
Biography
Gabrielle LaBare recently performed as the Alto Soloist in Vivaldi’s Gloria at the Finger Lakes Choral Festival. This fall she performed as the Aunt in Opera West’s production of Madama Butterfly. Other operatic performances include the Donna Elvira in Mozart’s Don Giovanni, the Female Chorus in Britten’s The Rape of Lucretia, Lapak in Janáček's Adventures of Little Sharp Ears, Terentia in Duke’s Captain Lovelock, Mother in Little Red’s Most Unusual Day, and Sandmännchen in Humperdink’s Hänsel und Gretel. She appeared as a soloist in Nathan and Julie Gunn and Friends at the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts in fall of 2018. Symphonic engagements have included performances of Ravel’s Shéhérazade with the Genesee Symphony Orchestra and selections from Carmina Burana with the Nazareth College Wind Symphony. Gabrielle received her Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance and Literature from the University of Illinois and her Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance from Nazareth College of Rochester.
